The following are locations that repair home and/or commercial espresso machines and grinders. All repair locations may not repair all the brands we sell. These repair locations are listed for your reference and we do not guarantee or endorse these companies. We apologize if company details have changed since the publication of this page, but we aren't able to verify contact details on a regular basis. For warranty repairs please use the form available on the contact page. Warranty repairs can only be made at our location or authorized locations. Authorized locations depend on the brand.
Contact the Manufacturer for Some Brands
If espresso machines with brands including Breville, Gaggia, Jura, Krups, Nespresso, and Saeco that usually have to be sent into the national repair facility for the repairs. Brands such as these don’t readily make parts available to independent repair companies and design their machines in a way that is difficult to repair without specialized equipment. For these brands it is best to contact the manufacturer directly to find the correct repair location to have the machine serviced at. They may have a parts dealer that can send parts or the may recommend a repair shop closer to you, but chances are you'll have to ship to a repair center.
Before sending in a machine for repair, it is a good idea to carefully consider the costs of shipping the machine there and back as well as the cost of parts and labor to make the repairs. It is not infrequent for repair related costs to exceed the value of the machine, in which case it would be more cost effective to purchase a brand new machine.
How Old Can A Machine Be Before Repairs Are Not Recommended?
As a general rule, espresso machines or grinders are not worth repairing if they are over 10 years old, when parts, labor and shipping costs are taken into account. However, if you are handy and can replace parts yourself, some machines such as lever machines and prosumer machines with e61 groupheads can last 15, 20 or more years if they are properly maintained. It can become difficult to find parts though.
Troubleshoot Before You Take Your Machine In
You can save money by doing a little troubleshooting prior to taking your espresso machine or grinder to a repair technician. There are some common things that happen that are easy to fix or are due to user error that can be addressed without paying for repair service.
- If your machine won’t heat, try finding the hi-limit reset on the machine and push the button (usually red). Sometimes the safety will reset to prevent damage to the boiler and sometimes getting the machine to work again is as easy as resetting the boiler safety.
- If your grinder is jammed or grinds are coming out very course, you may just have a burr jam. To prevent this, make sure you always adjust grind size with the burrs turning if you have beans in the hopper, otherwise adjust the grind size without the beans in the hopper. If you think you have a jam, increase the grind size and try to grind. It may be enough to clear the jam.
- If you have water coming from around the edge of the portafilter during extraction. There is likely nothing wrong with the machine other than the gasket is getting old and needs replacement.
- If your portafilter handle position is moving away from center, there is nothing wrong with the machine, the gasket is just wearing out, which is normal and will always happen over time. If the handles moves from the 7 o’clock position to the 6 o’clock to the 5 o’clock position and then closer to the 4 o’clock position it is time to replace the gasket.
- If your water flow for brewing is getting slow and is more like a trickle, it could just be the you have to backflush your machines grouphead. Try backflushing with some detergent as well as take the shower screen and gasket down and clean the underside of the group very well. Soak the gasket, shower screen and filter basket in a mixture of water and cleaning power and clean real well. It could certainly be possible the something is wrong with the machine, such as a stuck or scaled solenoid, but it’s worth checking if your grouphead is clean.
- If you have an e61 group machine and the brew lever squeaks, it likely just needs some lubricant. It’s normal for the brew levers to require lubricant after a couple years.
- If your machine doesn’t start up or gives you a low water level warning even though your machine has water, make sure that you aren’t using ultrapure water such as distilled water. If you use ultrapure water there isn’t enough hardness in the water for the water level probe to detect water. Try putting a pinch of salt in the water tank.
Commercial Coffee Equipment Repair

If you are a home user and don’t find a company in your area, you can check the commercial repair company page and if there is a company nearby you can contact them and see if they’ll service home equipment. Many of them will. This is a good list to keep on hand for commercial espresso machine installation, water softener installation / water tests, brewer, grinder and espresso machine maintenance and repair.
Info to Have On Hand When You Call
All repair companies will ask for a detailed description of the issue, the brand of the machine, the product name, age of the equipment and if the machine or grinder is under warranty.
Things to Ask the Service Technician
- How much do you charge per hour for labor?
- How much is the diagnostics fee? If a repair is made, will the diagnostics fee go towards the labor costs of the repair?
- How much of a backlog do you have? There aren’t a lot of repair companies in the country so it is not uncommon for many companies to have a backlog of work to complete before they get to your equipment.
- Do you service “brand name” regularly?
